Our relaxed and casual senior sessions are a lot of fun. We’ll help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, select the best outfits, and light you just right. You’ll have a blast!

Afterward, we spend a lot of time editing your photos to make them look even better….

3. Place Your Order

We’ll invite you in to our studio, and show you your photos on the big screen. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll fall in love! You can order all kinds of beautiful products: canvas and metal prints, framed and unframed prints, digital files, portrait books, and more. Then we’ll design and order your products for you, and let you know when they’re ready for pickup!

Portland Oregon Photographer FAQ

  • If you have a particular location in mind for portraits, great! If not, we have tons of suggestions. There are so many options for senior portrait locations. We’ve put together a blog post about locations for portraits in the Portland Metro area.‍ From urban locations near our studio in NW Portland, to parks in Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Portland, West Linn, and Hillsboro, we know all the best spots!

  • The sooner you can book your senior session, the better! Our calendar does fill up. The busiest time of year is the fall, so if you can book your session in the summer, you can guarantee good weather, and more openings.

  • Of course! Your 90 minute session is all yours, and we can do whatever you want. Friends, pets (well-behaved, of course), family, props, you name it!

  • We want you to feel great about how you look. Bring a nice variety of clothing in which you feel comfortable and confident. Use it as an excuse to go shopping! Have fun! Just try to avoid text or logos on your clothing. In addition to clothing, accessories are also welcome. When you book, we’ll send you our detailed Senior Style Guide, to help you prepare!

  • Our sessions last a full 90 minutes—ample time for multiple outfit changes and a range of backgrounds. You’ll walk away with a diverse collection of beautiful, artistic images!

  • We love working with people who don’t feel comfortable in front of a camera. Why? Because we get to help you relax, enjoy yourself, and see how beautiful you are. We’ve done this hundreds of times, and we’ll help you relax and have fun too.

  • Social media or web-resolution digital files are sized to look great on screens, but not for printing. Printing requires hi-resolution digital files. Our social media/web-res files look great on screen. But they are not intended for print, and don’t include printing rights.

  • You’ll notice at the top of this page a list of everything included in the base Portrait Session. Once we show you the beautiful portraits we’ve created, you get to choose what you want to order. We don’t have any complicated print packages; just order what makes you happy. You can see sample print prices (these are prior to whatever discount comes with your package). How much people spend on reprints and digital files depends on the client, but can range from $250-2000.

  • Each of our portrait photography packages has a discount included in it: you get a 10% discount on print products at your in-person Portrait Reveal and Ordering meeting (prints, wall hangings, and portrait albums). Just order what you want (no complicated packages) and get the discount!
